David Norton Wins Lawyer Poll On General Sessions Judge Race By Large Margin

David Norton won a poll of attorneys in a preferential poll for the General Sessions Court judge election on Aug. 2.

He got 133 votes - 52.8 percent of the votes cast in the poll conducted by the Chattanooga Bar Association.

Judge Norton was appointed by the County Commission as interim judge after the death of Judge Bob Moon.

Others getting votes in the poll were:

Ron Powers 62 - 24.6 percent

Joe DeGaetano  21 - 8.3 percent

Gary Starnes  19 - 7.5 percent

Valerie Epstein 7 - 2.8 percent

Patricia Best Vital 6 - 2.4 percent

Yolanda Mitchell 4 - 1.6 percent
