Melvin Hardy
Melvin Hardy, 61, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, April 16, 2012 at his home.
Melvin was a 1969 Howard High School graduate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evada and Robert.
Survivors include his wife, Terri “TJ” Hardy; sons, Melvin “Peanut” Hardy, Jr., Melvin “Boo” Hardy, III, Thomas A. Hardy, II and Brandon Hardy; daughters, Sha’Ree and Sha’Ron Hardy; stepdaughter, Tara (Jeremy) Wright; seven grandchildren; brother, Larry (Diedria) Hardy and niece, Treva Hardy, all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Betty Stinson; brother-in-law, Charles (Linda) Stinson; other survivors include ex-wife, Sharon Hardy and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Steve Underwood officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
The body will lie in state noon on Friday with the family receiving friends from 7–8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
