The Division of Nursing and Allied Health at Chattanooga State Community College will present a series of information sessions during the month of February for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Topics of discussion will include the application process, admission requirements, selection process, curriculum details, licensing and credentialing examinations, career opportunities and more. All of the information sessions will be held in the Health Science Center on the main campus.
Information sessions for the registered nursing program are scheduled on Feb. 14, for 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the first floor of the HSC in room 1083. Reservations are not required. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not mandatory for admission into the program.
The physical therapist assistant program will hold an information session on Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. on the second floor of the HSC in PTA room 2029. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required for admission into the program. Reservations are not necessary.
Attendance is mandatory for the dental assisting program’s information sessions scheduled for Feb. 9 at 5:30 p.m., and Feb. 13 at 8 a.m. Both sessions will take place on the second floor of the HSC in room 2028. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 423 697-4474.
The respiratory care program will hold its information session on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. on the second floor of the HSC in RC room 2117. Reservations are not required, but attendance is strongly encouraged.
The emergency medical services program’s information sessions are scheduled for Feb. 8 and 22, at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in room 105 on the first floor of the HSC. Attending this information session is required for admission, but a reservation need not be made.
Also on Feb. 9, the radiologic technology program will hold its information session in room 2060 on the second floor of the HSC at 5:30 p.m. Attendance at one information session is required for admittance to the radiologic technology program. A reservation is not necessary to attend.
Finally, on Feb. 17, the health information management program’s information session is scheduled for 10 a.m. in room 2106 on the second floor of the HSC. Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory. A reservation is not needed.
