Niko's Southside Grill Closing Dec. 22

Niko's Southside Grill will be closing on Dec. 22 after over five years in operation on the Southside.

Another restaurant operation will be going in at the site that has been managed by Nick and Amy Kyriakidis of the family that operates the Acropolis near Hamilton Place Mall.

Niko's opened in May 2007 at the corner of 14th and Cowart streets.

It offered "an entirely new concept that blends the 'Flavors of the South with Tastes of the Mediterranean.'"

City To Appeal Judge's Decision On Domestic Partners Ordinance Referendum Wording

The city of Chattanooga has filed notice that it plans to appeal a decision by Circuit Court Judge Neil Thomas on the issue of wording on the Domestic Partners Benefits Ordinance referendum. Miserably Loud At Track 29

I have been to two events at Track 29 in the past year and both were miserably loud. They were two groups I really wanted to see, Drive by Truckers (Southern Rock Band) and Abbey Road (Beatles tribute band).
