Niko's Southside Grill Closing Dec. 22

Niko's Southside Grill will be closing on Dec. 22 after over five years in operation on the Southside.

Another restaurant operation will be going in at the site that has been managed by Nick and Amy Kyriakidis of the family that operates the Acropolis near Hamilton Place Mall.

Niko's opened in May 2007 at the corner of 14th and Cowart streets.

It offered "an entirely new concept that blends the 'Flavors of the South with Tastes of the Mediterranean.'"

Teen Shot Twice On Wilson Street; He Won't Help Police

A teen who was shot twice on Wilson Street shortly after midnight said he would not help police. At approximately 12:08 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a call of a person shot at 1812 Wilson St. Chattanooga Police officers and EMS located Nathaniel Williams, 18, suffering from two non-life threatening gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to Erlanger Hospital ...
