First Things First welcomes the return of Secret Keeper Girl Live! The Pajama Party Tour to the Chattanooga Convention Center on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 6:30-8:45 p.m. This stage show for mothers and daughters ages 8-13 offers inspirational messages about friendship, true beauty and modesty set within a pajama party theme.
“We live in a culture where value and worth are often based on physical appearance,” said Julie Baumgardner, FTF president and chief executive officer. “This event sends young girls a clear message about the importance of inner beauty and self-worth.”
Here is what one mother from last year’s Secret Keeper Girl event had this to say: “It was amazing. The show was full of energy and excitement, but it also gave my daughter and me the chance to really connect like never before. We laughed; we cried a little, and we shared a tender memory that was just ours. We can’t wait to go again.”
Secret Keeper Girl includes the “Totally Tubular TV Moms” show featuring famous television moms and an exciting fashion show with girls 8-13 modeling today’s hottest looks underneath their fuzzy robes. Attire is casual, and girls and moms are welcome to wear their pajamas and join in the fun. It’s the perfect date for mothers and daughters, and makes a great holiday gift idea.
Tickets are $15 per person and are available online at firstthings.org. Groups of 10 or more receive a discount. Last year’s event was a sell-out so participants are encouraged to get tickets early. For more information, call First Things First at 267-5383 or visit firstthings.org.
