Couple Killed In Wreck On Rossville Boulevard

A man and woman were killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Rossville Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.

At 1:54 a.m., the Chattanooga Police traffic division responded to 2800 Rossville Blvd. on an accident with serious injury call.

Santiaze Hughes, 37, was driving north on Rossville Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a concrete wall. Both driver and passenger, Latara Hughes, 33, were pronounced dead.

Neither driver or passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Santiaze Hughes had a lengthy record of driving offenses, including 24 different prior charges, as well as drug and assault charges.

He had picked up a third-offense DUI charge on Oct. 20.

 


Funeral Service Will Be Saturday For Murder Victim Tammy Hale

Funeral services will be Saturday for 35-year-old Tammy Hale, whose battered body was found last Sunday at the home she shared on Lovell Road with Terry Releford.
