Christmas Week Garbage And Recycle Collection Schedule Changes

The city of Chattanooga, Department of Public Works announces garbage and recycle schedule changes for the week of Christmas.   

Garbage and recycle collection scheduled for Christmas Day will be collected on the following day, Wednesday.  Each regularly scheduled service day for the remainder of the week will also be collected the following day.  Schedule changes during the Christmas week are detailed below.

Service scheduled for:
Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday;
Wednesday will be collected on Thursday;
Thursday will be collected on Friday;

Friday will be collected on Saturday; 

There is no change in garbage and recycle collection scheduled for Christmas Eve or New Years Day.


Inaugural Station Street Sip And Savor Festival Is Saturday

The first Station Street Sip and Savor beverage and food tasting festival is presented by EPB, Lipman Brothers, Springer Mountain Farms, and US Foods on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at the Formal Gardens at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. Sheriff Watson Offers To Send Team To Colorado To Help With Search For Cleveland's Joe Keller; Active Search Suspended

Bicycle Store Owner Helps Police Nab Burglary Suspect

A bicycle store owner helped police nab a burglary suspect. Paul Rene Hayes, who has an extensive criminal record dating to 1993, was charged with aggravated burglary.
