Siskin Hospital announces the addition of a new support group, the Chattanooga Scleroderma Support Group.
According to the Scleroderma Foundation, Scleroderma is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as an autoimmune rheumatic disease. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease.
“We are very excited to be able to get together with you and your families to share our experiences, exchange ideas and provide support to each other,” said Linda Chaff, Scleroderma Support group leader.
The Chattanooga Scleroderma Support Group will meet the first Tuesday of each month beginning on Dec. 4 at Siskin Hospital’s first floor Outpatient Main Conference Room. The kick-off meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Future meeting schedules may vary, so please contact Linda Chaff at 423 886-6000, 423 718-8873 or linda@chaffco.com. You may also visit the Support Groups page at www.SiskinRehab.org for current information on each month’s meeting time, location, speaker and topic of discussion.
“We are looking forward to April Simpkins, president of the TN Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation, joining us at our first meeting to be our guest speaker,” Ms. Chaff said.
