Former State Rep. Bobby Wood was interviewed by former County Commissioner Curtis Adams on his "Gettiing to Know You" program on WDYN radio.

Rep. Wood was a longtime legislator and former chairman of the Hamilton County Republican Party. He operated Carriage Insurance on Highway 58 with Bill Bennett at one time.

"Getting To Know You" airs at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays and 12:30 p.m. on Sunday on WDYN.

WDYN operates on the Tennessee Temple campus in Highland Park at AM 980. The station soon hopes to have an FM frequency as well.

Man At Homeless Camp On Chestnut Street Charged With Trying To Set Fire To Another Man

A man at a homeless camp on Chestnut Street has been charged with trying to set fire to another man at the camp. Richard Warren "Trey" Erwin, 40, is charged with aggravated arson. Police were called to the 2200 block of Chestnut at 12:40 a.m. Earlier, Michael Nye and Alisa Buckels had called for an ambulance.
