Woman's Body Found In Woods Off Youngstown Road

A female body was found in woods off Youngstown Road on Sunday morning.

At 8:32 a.m., Chattanooga Police officers responded to a person down call at 3700 Youngstown Road. A citizen called the Police Department and stated they saw a possible person lying by the water at that location.

Upon arrival officers found a deceased person in the woods. The deceased party cannot be identified at this time, police said.

The case is pending and the investigation is continuing.
