First Christian Has Several Upcoming Activities

“Priesthood of the Believer” is the title of this Sunday’s message at First Christian Church, presented by guest pastor Rev. Dewayne Renfro at 10:45 a.m. Assistive listening devices are available to worshipers with hearing loss during the service. Real-time captioning also is offered on many Sundays. Visitors are always welcome.


Following worship, decoration of the sanctuary will begin at 12:15 p.m. while an  Advent Workshop starts at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Community outreach activities next week include Narcotics Anonymous  at 8 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays; Tai Chi is offered Fridays at 11 a.m.


Members of the community are invited to the 34th annual Moravian Love Feast on Sunday, Dec. 2 beginning with the UTC Trombone Choir at 5:30 p.m., followed by the lighting of candles and breaking of bread.

Organ Recital Offered At First Christian Church On Monday

6,533 Apply For Chattanooga Housing Authority Voucher Program

The Chattanooga Housing Authority closed its Housing Choice Voucher Program application process Monday at 11:59 p.m. There were 6,533 applicants. CHA will randomly select 1,000 of those names on Monday, for the voucher program waiting list.
