Conservative Spin Doctors Are Hurting The Republican Party - And Response (5)

  • Sunday, November 18, 2012

GM just made its 16th quarter with billions in profits since not being forced into bankruptcy with strong sales in CHINA.  You haters that listen to Fox News buzz words better believe the haters on that channel are hurting the Republican Party.

The unemployment rate down here at my beach house dropped again.  Drink that cool aid if you want...but you will see the same in four years if you don't change the channel and tell Beck, Coulter and Limbaugh to go away.  They hurt the Republican Party ..period.

Tack the lies of tort reform on top of that...if someone tells you tort reform is good for you...drag them out back and show them how you feel.

Mr. Kennamer, perhaps you are not aware that U.S. taxpayers own more than 30 percent of GM stock, that's over 500 million shares, and in order for taxpayers to even break even on the investment, GM's stock price will have to reach a minimum of about $53 per share.

GM stock sold for $33 per share during the initial public offering in 2010. Today's stock report shows GM is selling for $24.64 per share.  The 52-week low price was $18.72 and the 52-week high is $27.68.

GM received a $60 billion bailout, and they have repaid $33 billion of that investment.  If the U.S. sold its 30 percent of it's GM stake at the current price, taxpayers would come still come up some $14.8 billion short on the investment.

"Spin" and "cool aid" (sic) have nothing to do with GM.  '"Facts" do.

"GM just made its 16th quarter with billions in profits since not being forced into bankruptcy with strong sales in China."

FYI: Mr. Kennamer. GM filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on June 1, 2009. No spin. Just a fact. Bankruptcy erased all debt and made it easy for GM to turn a profit.

If every citizen had to sign loan documents with a bank on every bail out, accepting responsibility and guaranteeing repayment for their fair share, how many would we have?

Mya, explain to me how its okay to bailout the banks, but no okay to bail out the auto industry.  In fact, how is it okay for the FDIC to bailout Mitt Romney's Bain Capital by "cramming down" a loan using consumer funds?  You were asleep in logic class?

Jay, you are correct.  Were it not for the Tea Party, Mitt Romney would have won the Presidential election.  The Tea Party is done.  Put a fork in them done.

So Jay Kennamer thinks the "spin doctors" are hurting the Republican Party. Guess they don't teach math in law school. Sure, after giving away gifts to half the country, Obama won re-election and the Democrats retained control of the Senate. But if Jay took Civics in law school he knows there are other aspects to governing besides the White House and the Senate.

The Republicans retained their majority in the House. There are now 29 Republican governors, one Independent and 20 Democrats. In state government there are now 1,038 Republican Senators and 876 Democrats. In the State House of Representatives there are 2,937 Republicans and 2,441 Democrats. That hardly looks like a party in decline.

And by the way Jay, check out the state of Tennessee. Republican governor, senators, seven out of nine representatives and super majorities in both the State house and Senate. Maybe you should move to Massachusetts or California with your, "slip and fall," law practice where people would be more receptive to your arguments.

Myra is an informed rock star, gotta love that.  Facts, figures, and data for the liberal beach house guy.

The Republican Party doesn’t need liberal advice.  Dim Party could not get a house bill passed, with a bucket full of Tennessee Waltz cash. This is Republican soil, called the State of Tennessee.  You should look at the ridiculous state of your local Dim Party that is run by the Waltzers and second generation TN Parole of Sale that also runs the city of Chattanooga. What a train wreck that is.

Obama won because his Chicago thugs have been campaigning for years in Ohio, while the Republican Party was running a hard fought primary.  Campaigns are won and lost on strategy and public relations, and sadly people are still drinking the hope and change that never happened.

Conservatives and the awesome Tea Party don’t not need Dim advice. They are winning.
