Kenneth Eugene Brewer, 50, of Knoxville, Tn., died suddenly on July 21, 2010.

He was retired from the city of Knoxville Fire Department having been injured in the line of duty. Kenny was also a proud member of the City of Knoxville Police Department for five years before becoming a Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy.

He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and attended helicopter flight school in Ft. Rucker, Al.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald Brewer and grandmother, Paula Brewer.

He is survived by daughters, Meghan and Kasie Brewer; grandson, Conner Brewer; mother, Betty Brewer; brother, Dexter Brewer; sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Darryl Wilson; nephews, Chris and Josh Wilson; special cousin, Darcy Brewer and special friend, Perry Williams.

Visitation will be on Sunday, from 6 - 7 p.m. in Dutch Valley Church of God. The Rev. Maurice Watson will conduct the service at 7 p.m. in the church.

The committal service will be on Monday, July 26, at 9:30 a.m. in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 5901 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, Tn., with military honors.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Brewer, Richard Brewer, Darcy Brewer, Darryl Wilson, Chris Wilson and Josh Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dutch Valley Church of God c/o Kenny Brewer, 1416 Breda Dr., Knoxville, Tn. 37918, to cover funeral expenses.
