Practiced Medicine In Chattanooga Over 50 Years

Louis Ulin, 94, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at his home.

Dr. Ulin was a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa., and practiced medicine in Chattanooga for over 50 years and was board certified in General Surgery. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Medical unit of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice G. Ulin and a brother, Dr. Alex Ulin.

Survivors include his daughter, Allison Ulin Lynch, Chattanooga; son, Dr. Louis Scott Ulin, Dania Beach, Fl.; brother, Dr. Steve Ulin and sister-in-law, Ellie Ulin, Tucson, Az.; sister-in-law, Selma Cash Paty, grandchild, Kate Lynch, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Laura Ulin, Margate, Fl.; Shaun Scott Ulin and Tristan Ulin, Dania Beach, Fl.; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Siskin Children’s Institute.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jimmy Daniel Smiley, 78, died on October 3, 2015. He was a native of Lyerly, Ga., but had lived in Chattanooga for over 50 years. He was a member of East Lake Masonic Lodge #698, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired boilermaker after 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Bean, Otis "Ray", Jr.

Otis "Ray" Bean, Jr., 53, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Friday, Oct 2, 2015. He is finally resting peacefully with Kim and Jared. Can you only imagine that first day in Heaven? Ray was a native of Chattanooga and had lived in Ringgold for the past 30 years. Frances Martha Dyer, 70, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the local hospital. Legislative Hearing Concerning Volkswagen To Be Held In Chattanooga Oct. 29
