Lowrance, Billy Ray (Chickamauga)

Billy Ray Lowrance, 54, of Chickamauga, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2009.

Billy was an avid musician and member of the Millwee Hollow Band and was well-known in the Chattanooga area.

Survivors include his daughters, Sondra Pelham, Tonya Nabors, both of Rossville, Jennifer Lowrance of Nashville; parents, Charles and Frances (Anderson) Lowrance of Chickamauga; brothers, Charles D., Allen, Jimmy, and Eddie Lowrance; sisters, Patty Ligon, Sandy Lowrance, grandchildren, Mitchell, Chandler, Raylee Nabors, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on 2 p.m. on Friday, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chickamauga City Cemetery.

His family will receive friends after 3 p.m. on Thursday, and prior to the service Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
